Skin, hair and nail conditions — properly diagnosed
A specialist assessment to get to the cause of the problem, followed by a treatment plan you can actually follow. We see adults and children.
Common conditions we manage
- Eczema, contact dermatitis and dry, sensitive skin
- Psoriasis and other scaling conditions
- Rosacea, facial redness and flushing
- Persistent or unexplained rashes and itch
- Hair thinning and hair loss (scalp assessment)
- Nail changes and infections
- Moles, cysts, skin tags, warts and other lesions
- Skin infections — bacterial, fungal and viral
- Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating)
If a lesion looks suspicious, we prioritise assessment and can arrange biopsy or removal with histopathology.
Your appointment, step by step
History & examination
We discuss your symptoms, triggers, previous treatments and general health, then examine the affected areas — with dermoscopy where useful.
Diagnosis & investigations
Where needed we arrange swabs, scrapings, patch testing, blood tests or a skin biopsy.
Treatment plan
You leave with a written plan: what to use, how and for how long, plus what to expect and when to return.
Review
We check progress, adjust the plan, and step treatment up or down as your skin settles.
Frequently asked
Do I need a referral?
No — you can book directly. If your care would benefit from your GP or another specialist being involved, we’ll write to them with your consent.
Can you prescribe on the day?
Yes. If a prescription is appropriate we can issue it at the appointment and explain exactly how to use it.
Do you see children?
Yes, we assess and treat children’s skin conditions, with age-appropriate treatment plans and a parent or guardian present.
Will my medical insurance cover this?
Some plans cover specialist dermatology. Check with your insurer and ask us for an itemised invoice for reimbursement.
