What to expect

On the day & afterwards

  1. Consultation & consent

We assess your facial movement, discuss goals and risks, and agree a plan. A cooling-off period may apply for first-time treatments.

  2. Treatment

A few tiny injections with an ultra-fine needle. Most people describe it as a quick pinch. It takes about 10–15 minutes.

  3. First 24 hours

Stay upright, avoid strenuous exercise, heat, facials and rubbing the area. Mild redness or small bumps settle quickly.

  4. Results & review

Onset from 3–5 days, full effect by 2 weeks. We review at 2 weeks and top up if needed. Effects last around 3–4 months.

Questions

Frequently asked

Will I look frozen?

Not with our approach. We dose to soften movement, not abolish it, so you keep natural expression.

Does it hurt?

Minimal discomfort. The needle is very fine and each injection takes a second or two.

How long does it last?

Typically 3–4 months. With regular treatment, some people find intervals lengthen over time.

Who shouldn’t have it?

It’s not suitable in pregnancy or breastfeeding, with certain neuromuscular conditions, or active infection at the site. We screen for this at consultation.

What are the risks?

Bruising, headache, temporary asymmetry or a heavy brow/eyelid are uncommon and settle as the product wears off. We explain all risks before you consent.
